How does the treatment work?
VI “Medium-Depth” Peels work by reaching deeper than the skin’s surface layer. They pass through the boundary between the outer epidermis and the deeper dermis, reaching the uppermost part of the dermis called the papillary dermis. This depth allows the peel to effectively treat pigmentation, texture, and skin renewal concerns that cannot be addressed by superficial peels.

How does it feel during treatment?
During treatment, you may feel a warm, tingling, or mild stinging sensation as the peel is applied. This feeling is temporary and typically subsides within a few minutes, making the treatment very tolerable for most patients.
How long does the treatment take?
The treatment is quick and typically takes about 20-30 minutes from start to finish.
How many treatments will I need?
Most patients see noticeable results after just one treatment, but a series of 2-3 peels, spaced several weeks apart, may be recommended for optimal and longer-lasting results, depending on your skin concerns and goals.
What is the downtime?
Downtime is minimal, but visible peeling typically occurs for 3-7 days. During this time, you can continue most daily activities, though it’s best to avoid excessive sun exposure and strenuous exercise until peeling is complete.
When will I see results?
You’ll begin to see results within 7-10 days as peeling completes and fresh skin is revealed, with continued improvement in tone, texture, and clarity over the following weeks.
How should I prepare for the treatment?
For best results, follow these pre treatment steps:
- Stop using retinoids, other AHA’s, BHA’s or Vitamin C for at least 48 hours prior to treatment
- Avoid sun exposure for a few days to a week before the treatment
- Stay hydrated
- Avoid waxing or shaving the area 24-48 hours before the treatment - the skin will be more sensitive
What is the aftercare?
- Stay hydrated - drink at least 2 litres of water daily
- Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks following treatment
- Apply SPF50+ daily
- Avoid harsh skincare products such as exfoliants, Vitamin C and retinoids for 7-10 days - use hydrating and moisturising products
- Don’t pick or scrub the skin - let the skin shed naturally to avoid irritation or scarring
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms for 7 days
