During the DÉCAAR Algae Peel, you will experience a prickling or tingling sensation as the algae particles are massaged into the skin. This is completely normal and is a sign that the treatment is stimulating the skin's natural regeneration process. The sensation usually subsides shortly after the treatment, although your skin may feel warm, tight and slightly sensitive for the first 24-48 hours before the renewal process begins.

The treatment takes 45 minutes.

The number of treatments required will depend on your skin concerns and desired results. While many clients notice visible improvements after just one treatment, a course of 3-6 sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart, is typically recommended for concerns such as acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, fine lines and uneven skin texture. Your practitioner will create a personalised treatment plan based on your skin assessment and goals.

The Smart Meso Facial is a minimally invasive treatment with little to no downtime. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately. Mild redness or tingling may occur for a few hours but typically resolves quickly, leaving the skin refreshed, hydrated, and glowing.

The DÉCAAR Algae Peel requires minimal to moderate downtime. Your skin may appear red and feel warm or tight for the first 24-48 hours, followed by light to moderate peeling for around 3-7 days as the skin naturally renews itself. During this time, it is important to follow the recommended aftercare, including avoiding active skincare products, excessive heat and direct sun exposure. Most clients can continue with their normal daily activities, although you may wish to plan your treatment around social events due to the visible peeling.

For best results, follow these pre treatment steps:

• Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids and other active skincare products for 5-7 days before your appointment.
• Do not wax, thread or use hair removal creams on the treatment area for 5-7 days beforehand.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
• Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment.
• Follow any personalised pre-treatment advice provided during your consultation.

• Keep the skin clean and well hydrated using the recommended products.
• Do not pick, peel or scrub any flaking skin.
• Apply SPF 30–50 daily and avoid direct sun exposure until the skin has fully healed.
• Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, vitamin C and other active skincare products for 5-7 days, or until advised.
• Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms, hot baths and vigorous exercise, for 48 hours.
• Do not use exfoliants or facial scrubs until peeling has completely finished.
• Avoid swimming until the skin has recovered.
• Allow any peeling to occur naturally for the best results.
• Wear minimal or no make-up for the first 24-48 hours, or until advised by your practitioner.
• Stay well hydrated and follow your personalised homecare routine to optimise results.
