How does ACCOR Plasma Pen work?
The device uses low frequency plasma technology to create a small electrical arc that gently heats the skin’s surface without direct contact. This creates a controlled, targeted micro-injury, which triggers the body’s natural healing response. As the skin heals, it produces new collagen and elastin, which are essential for firm and youthful skin, resulting in gradual tightening, lifting and rejuvenation over the following weeks.

How does it feel during treatment?
During the treatment you may feel mild to moderate discomfort. The treatment involves applying plasma energy to the skin, which can cause a tingling, warming, or prickling sensation. To manage discomfort, a numbing cream is typically applied to the area before the procedure, which helps reduce the sensation. The treatment is generally well-tolerated, but sensitivity can vary depending on the area being treated and your individual pain threshold. Most clients find the discomfort manageable, and it usually subsides shortly after the treatment ends.
How long does the treatment take?
Preparation for the treatment includes cleansing and numbing the skin for 20–30 minutes. Then the plasma process itself takes between 20 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the area being treated. The overall treatment time is between 1–1.5 hours.
How many treatments will I need?
For most clients, 1–2 treatments will show noticeable results. However, the number of treatments can depend on the severity of the skin concern and the desired outcome.

- Deeper wrinkles, more pronounced sagging or scars may require more treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results
What is the downtime?
The downtime after treatment is usually around 7–10 days, depending on the area treated and your skin’s healing response.
- Immediately after, the skin may appear red, swollen, and slightly tender
- After a few days, tiny scabs may form on the treated area; these are normal and should not be touched or picked at
- Days 5–10 the scabs naturally flake off, revealing tighter, smoother skin underneath
When will I see results?
With the Plasma Pen, some improvement is visible immediately due to skin tightening, but the full results develop gradually. Over the next 6–12 weeks, your skin continues to regenerate collagen, leading to smoother, firmer, and more lifted skin. Maximum results are usually seen around 3 months after treatment, and effects can last 1–2 years depending on age, skin type, and lifestyle.
How should I prepare for the treatment?
For best results, follow these pre treatment steps:
- Stop using retinoids, other AHA’s, BHA’s or Vitamin C for at least 48 hours prior to treatment
- Avoid sun exposure for 1 week before the treatment
- Discontinue use of blood thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen etc) a few days before the treatment
- Stay hydrated
What is the aftercare?
Keep the area clean and moisturised
- Avoid picking or scratching the treated area
- Avoid direct sunlight and apply SPF50+ daily
- Avoid makeup and harsh skincare until the skin is healed (usually 7–10 days)
- Refrain from using hot showers, steam rooms or saunas until the skin is healed
- Drink at least 2 litres of water daily
