PRP Vampire Facial
PRP Vampire Facial
At our beauty salon in Cobham we use The ‘ Vampire Facial’ which is one of the most talked about non surgical procedures and though it sounds ominous, it is actually an amazing anti-aging treatment that is quickly gaining popularity.
The Vampire Facial harnesses the body’s natural substances found in your own blood to reduce the signs of ageing whilst also in some cases, help with acne scarring too.
It can help tighten and brighten your skin.
Normally a course of 3-4 treatments are recommended a month apart to achieve the best results. The microneedling allows for the body to stimulate collagen too which can take up to 3 months to see the final results.
So how does it work?
During a vampire facial, a sample of your own blood is drawn from your arm. The vial is placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the red blood cells.
Once the blood is separated, the platelet rich plasma with all the nutrients placed into the skin using a microneedling device.
Before treatment, numbing cream may be applied to the skin to minimise any discomfort.
The suggested benefits of a vampire facial are:
- Reduced wrinkles
- Plump skin
- Faded or diminished acne scars
- Brightened skin
- Reduce open pores
- Rejuvenate under the eye area
As it is your own blood that is used, there are no risks to this treatment. Some people experience redness and swelling post treatment but this resolves without any intervention within 24-48 hours. This treatment is more than an anti-aging treatment as it works on healing and regenerating skin cells which in turn can give you a fresher and more vibrant appearance. Dull, lacklustre skin can be brightened, wrinkles smoothed, large pores reduced and skin tone and texture improved.
Platelet-rich plasma has been used for over 50 years!
